One day I started doodling on a piece of printer paper and wrote my thoughts out on it and it ended up being a fairly amusing read. To me, at least. I'm pretty sure I drew a pair of testicles with angel wings flying around, talking about my recent obsession with Call of Duty 4. I kept the piece of modern art brilliance and brought it with me on my way home. But first - I needed to get some groceries! On my way out of Kroger I stopped and looked at the bulletin board they have set up and thought it might be funny if some grandma saw the flying angel sac up there. I ran to my car, grabbed my newsletter and tacked it up proudly for all to see.
I've been doing this regularly for a few months now, maybe one every week or two. The other night while going through various boxes about the house, Rachel found my scanner. I thought it had been left at my old Van Buren apartment I had been evicted from. I was thrilled to have it back. The first thing I scanned was a microfiber cloth at 12,800 (!!!!) dpi.
I made another one of my newsletters at work today, and decided it was time for me to reach a wider audience. I made up a new MySpace page, got a new GMail account and now Important World News can be seen by anyone with an internet connection! I'll be adding them to my rusty ol' Sailblog as I make them, too. At least until I lose interest. So, here you go - the first of many e-installments of IWN. I don't know how to make pictures small in the interwebs, so click the image and it'll hopefully take you to the full size bad boy.
